I didn't build Dr. Mayor Talks because I thought women needed another app. I built it because, session after session, I kept meeting the same woman in different bodies: someone who had a question she'd been sitting on for months, maybe years, because she didn't know who to ask, or was too embarrassed to ask it out loud.
"So many women walk in already apologizing for their own bodies before I've said a word."
Sometimes it was something small she'd normalized for years, irregular periods, pain she thought was "just how it is," a question about fertility she'd been too nervous to bring up with anyone. Sometimes it was something bigger, and she'd simply never had a space that felt safe enough to say it.
Six years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology taught me that good medicine isn't only about the right diagnosis. It's about making a woman feel heard before she even fully understands what she's asking. That's the part I wanted to build a space around, not just consultations, but a place where the question itself is always welcome.
